Manav Sthali School spreads the message of love, peace,
happiness, universal brotherhood & equality to the students.
The students of Manav Sthali School, R-Block, New Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi celebrated "Janmashtami" on 23.08.08, Saturday with fervor. Janmashtami is celebrated to welcome and enjoy Lord Krishna's birth. Students celebrated this occasion with great devotion & love. A programme was presented in the school auditorium depicting the various phrases of Lord Krishna's life in the form of dances, antakshri, bhajans, Ras Leela, Geeta sar, thumri, school band & many other items like forming of human pyramid to reach to the pot full of butter & devotional songs making the spectators forget themselves in the ecstasy of the pranks, enchanting music & inexpressible bliss & rejoicing in Lord Krishna's glory.

Manav Sthali School always has new approach & educates the students with the events which correlate education with the real life heroes like Sri Ram, Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna is combination of unparallel virtues. He is the most popular divine hero in India & abroad in human form. We call him a friend, philosopher, guide & teacher par excellence.

Mrs. Mamta Bhatnagar, Director of Manav Sthali School, told the students that every one of them is a Krishna if they perform their duties sincerely & honestly. She enlightened the students on the day. She signified that the life & teachings of Lord Krishna have a universal message. Lord Krishna in his message has preached "Do your duty, result is going to follow." The central teaching of Bhagwad Gita (the preaching of Lord Krishna to Arjuna) is to do one's duty sincerely.

Lord Krishna sincerely wished that peace should prevail, he himself went to the Kaurvas as Ambassador of peace but the war of Kurushetra happened. He quoted that "Peace brings prosperity & war brings destruction". Lord Krishna was a great visionary & his teachings are followed universally. He wanted no wars, no tears & that innocent people should not be killed in the war. This has universal message of peace & brotherhood across the globe.

Mrs. Bhatnagar narrated to the students the epic of "Lord Krishna winning over Kaliya Serpent" when Lord Krishna jumped into the river Yamuna stood upon its hoods & danced on the nag (Kaliya Serpent & his family) & directed him to leave Yamuna as the river was polluted due to them so that the people can get clean & pure drinking water for a healthy life. Even today our govt. is trying to provide pure & safe drinking water to the public good for their health. She stressed that the students should direct & channelize their emotions thus learning the technique of "Self- management".

The main attraction of the day was Janmashtami Tableaus prepared & decorated by the students giving a perfect look of the occasion. The various tableaus showcased "birth of Lord Krishna in the prison" - the prison walls glowing with the aura of the birth of the Lord Krishna - atmosphere of peace and happiness prevailing all over, green forests full of trees with all kinds of beautiful flowers, and people dancing with sheer joy & happiness. Children dressed up like Radha, Krishna & other characters in vibrant colourful costumes.

Another Tableau depicted "River Yamuna Bows to the Feet of Sri Krishna" – This tableau depicts Vasudev, father of Lord Krishna carrying him in a basket across River Yamuna to Gokul presenting that as soon as the feet of Lord immersed in the river, the flow became normal and Yamuna made way for the Lord & Sheshnag, the serpent formed an umbrella to save the new born baby from rain.
The tableau "Epitome of Friendship – Krishna & Sudama" showcased the strong bond of friendship between the two. Lord Krishna, the king of Dwarka did not forget his childhood friend Sudama who is a poor man. Lord Krishna immediately recognizes his poor friend, rushes & hugs him .This is the greatest example that there should be no disparity between the rich & the poor & everyone should be treated equally.
Therefore at Manav Sthali Janmashtami is celebrated everyday in true spirit giving the message of love, peace, happiness, universal brotherhood & equality to the students.
