Rare indeed it is to come across such an enigmatic and wondrous personality- delighting
and amazing people with his plethora of qualities, virtues, vision and philosophy,
his zestful endeavors, creative bent of mind and unending desire to do something new
and fresh targeted at the peaks of upliftment and enrichment of the youth - the future
of the world.
Dr. V.K. Bhatnagar, a man of vision equipped with strength of character, true and
valiant, came to the fore of embark on a crusade to dispel the darkness of ignorance.
He wiped away dark clouds and Manav Sthali School saw the light of the day. A novel
movement in education had started - aimed at creating true human beings - Manavs.
It was in 1957.
Firmly believing that values are caught, not taught. Dr. Bhatnagar devised a novel
approach to instill values in the young. Values can be engrained into the very psyche
of an individual through exemplary activities, illustrations and practical activities
incorporated in to the curriculum.
Yesterday's fiction is today's reality. The world is changing every day. E-Learning
has become an integrated part of the Education system. It is "today's classroom of
the future" where the best faculty & content are made accessible to the learners
with their interactive participation through micro-phone and screen attached to computer
terminals.
The vision and foresight of Dr. Bhatnagar assumed the efficiency of the maxim catch
them young. He introduced various schemes to promote games from the very tender age
of 5 years. The school has facilities for and exceeds in rare sport like horse riding,
roller skating, athletics, table tennis, yoga, swimming in addition to field games
like basket ball and hockey.
In this highly commercial and materialistic world, Dr. Bhatnagar distinguishes himself
by his concern for the weak, poor and dawn trodden. He is a refuge for the poor, commands
great respect as he develops in his fellow worlds to a capacity for series. He has
contributed immensely to the betterment and upliftment of the community through his
longstanding unstinted dedication and fervour.
He has become a legend. In his lifetime by virtue of his sterling qualities and contributions
to the field of education and upliftment of society, he has been conferred with the
Rastriya Saman Award for best educationist of the year 1993 by the National Press
of India.
